The Guilt TripAbby
This situation will show up when a person has been given a strong belief of self-guilt. Something or someone, somewhere in their past has made them believe they are guilty and they have accepted this lie as the truth. When a person is made to believe this, they will judge themselves harshly. Their punishment will usually show itself in the form of some type of anxiety, pain, illness or self-abuse. This misbelief of guilt must be addressed and resolved for healing to take place on any level. An example of this is called Sinner’s Syndrome; an illusionary curse that can make you sick and if not dealt with, stay with you for a lifetime. When you believe you are a sinner, a heavy burden will be yours to carry both mentally and physically until you let yourself off the hook. Trust me I have played this card for years because I judged myself harshly and allowed others to do the same. When I was young I was taught by my peers to believe that I was born a sinner.
In my mind I was doomed for life and no matter how much I suffered for these sins, I would never be good enough. Talk about Hell on Earth. We all know what comes along with viewing one’s self as a sinner and that is judgment. Judgment, whether done by someone else or yourself is very destructive for one’s mental and physical well-being. What comes after judgment but punishment. With punishment, comes affliction and the deprivation of the abundance that no one, not even ourselves, has the right to take away. We deprive ourselves of love, happiness, money and let us not forget, our emotional and physical health, all in the name of ‘The Illusionary Guilt Trip,’ hopefully a short one.
